Seethi Sahib Memorial Polytechnic College, Tirur is approved by the State Board of Technical Education (SBTE), Government of Kerala. The institution was originally sanctioned by the Government of Kerala and the Government of India in 1962 for the establishment of a Polytechnic at Tirur under the Kerala Muslim Educational Association (KMEA). The approval included a detailed plan for academic development, financial support, and resource sharing between the Central Government, State Government, and the sponsoring management.
The Polytechnic was granted permission with an initial annual intake of 120 students and has continued to maintain the standards and guidelines prescribed by the SBTE. The institution follows the academic, administrative, and infrastructural norms set by SBTE to ensure high-quality technical education.
