National Cadet Corps (NCC)

National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a premier youth development organization of the Government of India under the Ministry of Defence. Established in 1948, NCC aims to develop character, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure, and ideals of selfless service among students. 

The NCC unit of Seethi Sahib Memorial Polytechnic College, Tirur provides students with opportunities to undergo military-oriented training while actively engaging in nation-building and community service activities. NCC training helps students build physical fitness, mental strength, teamwork, and leadership qualities.

Major activities include drill training, parade practice, social service activities, disaster management training, blood donation camps, awareness programmes, and participation in national events. Cadets also take part in Annual Training Camps (ATC), Republic Day celebrations, and adventure-based activities. Through structured training and disciplined activities, NCC at SSM Polytechnic College plays a significant role in shaping responsible, confident, and patriotic citizens who are prepared to serve the nation in various capacities.

NCC training develops discipline, leadership, teamwork, responsibility, and confidence through structured drills, camps, and organized activities.
