The Department of Chemical Engineering at Seethi Sahib Memorial Polytechnic College, Tirur has been recently established to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals. The programme follows Outcome-Based Education (OBE) principles and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to the State Board of Technical Education Kerala (SBTE).

The curriculum builds a strong base in mathematics, science, and core engineering, while developing skills in problem analysis, technical design, modern tools, testing techniques, sustainability, ethics, project management, communication, and lifelong learning, ensuring balanced theoretical and practical competence.

With rising focus on sustainability and innovation, chemical engineers lead advancements in clean fuels, eco-friendly materials, and advanced medical devices. Graduates pursue careers as process engineers, R&D specialists, environmental engineers, or plant managers, with recruiters including ONGC, IOCL, Reliance Industries, Hindustan Unilever, Asian Paints, Pidilite, Lupin, Dr. Reddy’s, and global leaders like BASF and Schlumberger.
